Day-4. LONDON – BATH – STONEHENGE – LONDON: Go for a whole day excursion to Bath. The town was first established by the Romans in 43AD as a spa resort with the Latin name Aquae Sulis. It became a famous resort town, and now it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On a guided tour visit the Roman Baths with four main features: Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House, and the Museum holding finds from the Roman Baths. Also see some of the other finest architectural creations found in Britain such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, and more. On your way, stop at Stonehenge. It is an iconic stone monument from around 2500 BC. It served as a burial place and a place of worship. It consists of a ring of standing stones, with each standing stone around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons. Late return to London.
Day-5. LONDON: Visit the Tate Gallery and have a guided tour. The gallery opened in 1897 houses a substantial collection of British art since Tudor times and in particular has large holdings of the works of J.M.W. Turner. Walk on to Churchill’s War Rooms. It is one of the five branches of the Imperial War Museum. The museum comprises the Cabinet War Rooms, a historic underground complex that housed a British government command center throughout the Second World War, and the Churchill Museum. Take a break for lunch and go on to Westminster Abbey. It is a large, mainly Gothic abbey church and one of the United Kingdom’s most notable religious buildings and the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English and, later, British monarchs. Continue over the bridge to the Eye of London. Enjoy the magnificent view of the city. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
