Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY – FRANKFURT:  Overnight flight to Frankfurt.

Day-2. FRANKFURT – RUDESHEIM: Arrive in Frankfurt and continue by your bus to Eberbach Abbey for a guided tour of this medieval abbey. Visit the cellars, numerous rooms, and beautiful ruins of a church. Continue to nearby Rudesheim and your riverfront hotel for the overnight.

Day-3. RHINE CRUISE – RUDESHEIM: Board your riverboat for a  cruise on the Rhine River. See some of the most beautiful castles in Germany: Burg Rhinestone, Sooneck, Gutengels Burg, Stahleck, Schomburg, Rheinfels, Maus, and Katz. In the afternoon return to Rudesheim. Visit the Music Museum and walk on the banks of the river Rhine.

Day-4. HEIDELBERG – ROTHENBURG: Travel by your bus to Heidelberg to visit the former residence of the Palatine Counts the famous Heidelberg Castle. On a guided tour visit the Ruprechtsbau Building, the Glass Hall, the Ottheinrichsbau Building, and the English Hall. Walk down the hill to the Holly Ghost Square before continuing along the Romantic Road to the medieval town of Rothenburg for the overnight.

Day-5. ROTHENBURG – MUNICH: Walk along the narrow streets of Rothenburg. It is the best-preserved walled town in Germany well known for its charming characteristic half-timbered houses. On a guided walking tour see the main sites: Church of St. Jacob, Markus Tower, Town Hall, and Spital Bastion. In the afternoon board your bus for a trip along the Romantic Road to Munich and your centrally located hotel for the overnight.

Day-6. MUNICH: Join the local tour guide for a guided walking city tour of the Bavarian capital Munich. See/Visit: “Old Peter” Church, Stacchaus, Karlsplatz, Ludwig Strasse, Siegestor, Arch of Victory, Schwabing, Odeons Platz,  Koenigsplatz, and Marien Kirche. Later visit Viktuell Market offering a huge selection of Bavarian sausages, cheese, honey, and herbal drinks.

Day-7. MUNICH – FUESSEN – NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE – MUNICH: Travel by your bus to Fuessen for a guided visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle where Ludwig the Mad, the King of Bavaria, created a monument in stone to his dreams of the noble Middle Ages. Enjoy a free afternoon in the Old Town of Fuessen.  Return to Munich for the overnight.

Day-8. MUNICH – VENICE: Board your fast train for an exciting ride over the European Alps and through the Brenner Pass to Italy. Arrive in Venice and check into your hotel. After a break join your tour director on a walking tour along Lista d’ Espagna to Rialto Bridge and St. Marco Square.

Day-9. VENICE: Go for a walking guided city tour of Venice. See the main sites: Ca’ D’Oro, St. Marks’ Square, Pallazo Ducale, Ponte dei Sospiri, Campanile, Ponte Rialto, and Basilica San Marco. In the afternoon visit a glass blowing artisan shop near the Basilica San Marco (or take the optional excursion to Murano). Enjoy the gondola ride along the canals of Venice. Return to Piazzale Roma by vaporetto, a water commuter boat, to enjoy the view from the waterside along Canal Grande and see the beautiful palaces and plazas.

Day-10.  DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
