The price is based on 35 paying travelers and 6 free chaperones. For smaller independent groups we will adjust the price. The ratio for free chaperones stays 1/6. The lowest number of paying participants for an independent group is 10.

ATHENS, 4 DAYS CRUISE, DELPHI, ATHENS

Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY – ATHENS: Overnight flight to Athens.

Day- 2. ATHENS: Arrive in Athens and check into your centrally located hotel. Start your visit with a guided walking tour to see some of the best-known monuments: the Library, the Academy, the University, the Cathedral of St. Denis, and a display of the ancient tombs found while constructing the Syntagma metro station.

Day- 3. CRUISE – MYKONOS: Early morning transfer to the harbor of Pireaus to board your cruise ship. Your cruise ship features a swimming pool, games room, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, dance music, duty-free shop, sauna, daily show programs, sun deck, etc. Your first stop will be Mykonos, a magical island with famous windmills, whitewashed houses, busy shops, and restaurants. In the late afternoon come back to the ship and sail overnight to Kusadasi in Turkey.

Day-4. CRUISE – KUSADASI – PATMOS: Visit Kusadasi, a modern tourist resort in Turkey. Proceed by bus to see the ruins of ancient Ephesus. It is the largest, and best-preserved Greco-Roman city site in the world. On a guided tour see the Library, the main square, the public baths, and the amphitheater among many other structures. After the tour go back to Kusadasi and spend some time exploring and shopping at the small bazaar. Go back to your ship and sail to Patmos. Spend the afternoon in the village or visit the Monastery of St. John the Divine. Sail overnight to Rhodes.

Day-5. CRUISE – RHODES: Spend a full day in Rhodes, where the Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the world once stood. The powerful wall which surrounds this old city is the finest example of architecture in the 15th century. See the Palace of the Grand Master of the Order of St. John, the Archaeological Museum, (the former Hospital of the Knights of the Crusade). Go back to the ship for lunch or stay in the town and explore some more. Otherwise, you can go by bus on an optional tour to the Citadel of Lalissos or on an optional guided walking city tour. If you stay in town browse and shop at hundreds of shops selling souvenirs, jewelry, and clothes.

Day-6. CRUISE – SANTORINI – CRETE: In the morning arrive in Santorini, thought by some to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Climb to the top of the village, or use a cable car or a donkey ride. Return to the ship and sail to Crete, the largest of the Greek islands. Spend the afternoon in the town of Heraklion or go by bus on an optional excursion to the Palace of Knossos. It is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site and is the oldest European city. It was a center of the Minoan civilization that disappeared about 1100 BC.

Day-7. CRUISE – PIRAEUS – DELPHI: Early in the morning arrive in Piraeus and disembark your cruise ship and take a bus ride to Delphi. It was the site of the Delphic Oracle, the most important oracle in the Classical Greek World, and a major site for the worship of the god Apollo. The legend tells that Apollo slew the Python, a deity who lived there, and that way protected the Navel of the Earth because Delphi was the center of the Earth. It was also the site of the original Pythian Games. The guided tour includes The Museum, the Temple of Apollo, Delphic Senate, Arcades, and the Club of Kinkidians. Overnight in Delphi.

Day-8. DELPHI–ATHENS: In the morning take a bus ride back to Athens. Arrive in Athens and start with a guided city tour. Visit the Acropolis the site dedicated to the goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom and protection. Visit the PARTHENON and the Temple of Athena Nike and the Museum. Continue to Constitution Square, the heartbeat of the city. Photo-stop at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and then to the Old Stadium and Omonia Square. Free afternoon for exploring and shopping. In the evening walk to Monastiraki and then to Plaka for dinner.

Day-9. ATHENS – DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
