Day-1. PARIS:Upon arrival start with a guided city tour. See: Eiffel Tower, Opéra Garnier, Place de la Concorde, Place de la Bastille, Place de la République, Obélisque de Louxor, Champs-Élysées, École Militaire, Tuileries Gardens, Les Invalides, Quartier Latin, Jardin du Luxembourg and more.  At the end of the city tour arrive at your centrally located hotel and check-in. In the evening join your tour director on a walking tour to Basilica Sacre Coeur and the artistic Montmartre.

Day-2. PARIS – LOUVRE: Walk to Louvrefor a guided tour. The professional guide from the museum will show you the most important artifacts and tell you about the history of the museum and the history of art. Explore the beautiful collection of sculptures and paintings including the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Venus de Milo, Nike the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and more. Proceed to Île de la Cité and see the Notre Dame Cathedral. The rest of the day is free to visit the other attractions of Paris like the Seine Book Market or to explore French fashion at Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. In the evening take the elevator to the highest platform of the Eiffel Tower for a great view over “The City of Lights.”


Day-3. PARIS – VERSAILLES: Take a local train to Versailles to visit the lavish palace built by Louis the XIV. On a guided tour visit the Royal Chambers, Hall of the Mirrors, Drawing Rooms, Royal Chapel, and more. Walk in the magnificent gardens just like Marie Antoinette used to do. In the evening walk to Pont d’Alma and board Bateaux Mouches for a cruise on the Seine.

Day-4. LOIRE VALLEY: Board your bus for a trip to the Loire Valley known as the Valley of the Castles. On guided tour visit the Royal Residence in Blois, the home of French kings and queens for more than four centuries. Under Louis XII Blois became a royal town and the capital of the Kingdom. Visit the castle where Catherine de Medici and her son Henri III often resided. Continue to Château de Chambord, the biggest castle in the valley. Overnight in Blois.

Day-5. LOIRE VALLEY: Morning departure from Blois for a ride along the French countryside to reach the beautiful town of Amboise. On a guided tour visit Clos Lucè. Toward the end of his life, Leonardo da Vinci lived there and finished the famous Mona Lisa painting. Visit the Château d’ Amboise where the French King Frances I, Leonardo’s friend, lived. He was the one who invited Leonardo to France. Proceed to the Château de Chenonceau, the most beautiful castle in the valley. Overnight in Tours.

Day-6. MT. SAINT MICHEL – ST. MALO – PARIS: Travel by your bus along the coast and on a guided tour visit Mont Saint Michel, one of the greatest tourist attractions in France. Walk its narrow streets and visit the Abbey. In the afternoon go to St. Malo, the famous “pirates den” and the walled town. On your way back to Paris visit the Cathedral in Rouen and spend some time exploring and shopping if time permits. Return to Paris for the overnight.

Day-7. DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

ADD A DAY: Add one day in Paris. Take a guided bus tourto Château de Malmaison.The palace has been home to Josephine Bonaparte, the Empress of France. She lived there, on and off, for 15 years. The Château is beautifully restored and shows Napoleon’s rooms as well as Josephine’s rooms. The second floor shows a collection of the Empress’s wardrobe and many household things. Her coronation dress is there as well. The intimacy of the museum is extraordinary. It is about 15 km from Paris. The afternoon is free for some shopping and wandering around Paris by yourself. $ 350.00

SURCHARGE: in single accommodation $110.00 per person/night

 

PAYMENT POLICY:

A deposit for the group of 6 is $3000.00 due 2 months before the departure date.

Includes trip cancellation, lost baggage, trip interruption, and medical insurance. It will be added to your first payment.

If your group or any individuals from your group do not accept this insurance, the group leader must inform E&L GROUP TOURS USA in writing.

All individuals traveling with E&L GROUP TOURS USA must show proof of valid travel insurance that includes trip interruption.
