The price is based on 35 paying travelers and 6 free chaperones. For smaller independent groups we will adjust the price. The ratio for free chaperones stays 1/6. The lowest number of paying participants for an independent group is 10.
SAN JOSE, POAS VOLCANO, TORTUGUERO, ARENAL, MANUEL ANTONIO, SAN JOSE
Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY – SAN JOSE – RANCHO DE ESPAGNOL: Fly to San Jose and transfer by bus to Rancho de Espaniol for the overnight.
Day-2. POAS VOLCANO: Excursion to Poas Volcano National Park to see one of the largest volcano craters in the world. On a guided tour visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens as well as the Butterfly Observatory, the Hummingbird Garden, and the Waterfalls Gardens. Later join your Biologist on a walking trail through the jungle. Return to El Rancho for dinner and overnight.
Day-3. EL RANCHO – TORTUGUERO: Travel through the Central Plain to the Province of Limon. Join your tour director – Biologist for a Canoe Canal Tour. Explore the biodiversity of Tortuguero National Park and the extensive network of freshwater creeks, canals, and lagoons. During the tour, you will easily spot River Turtles, Spectacled Caiman, Southern River Otters, Crustaceans, Spider, Howler, and Capuchin Monkeys. Overnight will be in a jungle lodge.
Day-4. CANO BLANCO – ARENAL: Enjoy the guided bird tour of Sarapiqui. More than 50% of all birds in Costa Rica live there. The tour will be led by a naturalist from the region. Continue on a bus ride to Arenal Volcano National Park. Stop in the town of La Fortuna to see the handicraft outlets. End the day in your hotel – lodge with a swimming pool.
Day-5. ARENAL RESORT: Join your tour director for a guided tour along the Arenal Hanging Bridges, one of the most beautiful projects in Costa Rica. Located in front of the Arenal Volcano, the trails and bridges of this project will bring you close to the birds and lush vegetation of the primary rain forest. Walk right into the forest. The hanging bridges are overlooking the canopy and the views of the volcano. Then continue with the Zip Line. While zipping over cables as high as 120 feet over the ground level, you will have a bird’s eye view of the rain forest canopy.
Day-6. ARENAL – MANUEL ANTONIO: Travel through Central Costa Rica to Manuel Antonio National Park, considered to be the best sample of preservation of the Cloud Forest. On a guided tour walk through dense forests with a variety of exotic plants and rare and endangered animals including jaguars and tapirs. End the day in Playa Beluca.
Day-7. MANUEL ANTONIO – SAN JOSE: Return to San Jose and have a guided city tour. See the main sites of the city such as Plaza de la Cultura, West Pavilion, Templo de la Musica, and National Theater. The rest of the day is free.
Day-10. DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

PAYMENT POLICY:

Includes trip cancellation, lost baggage, trip interruption, and medical insurance. It will be added to your first payment.
